The journal recognizes that digital preservation is an essential component of responsible scholarly publishing and is committed to maintaining access to the scholarly record even in the event of changes to the journal's publishing platform or website.

Digital Preservation

All articles published in International Journal of Innovation in Teaching and Learning Technology are maintained in digital form and are subject to appropriate preservation and archiving procedures.

The journal takes reasonable measures to ensure that published articles, including their full text, metadata, DOI information, supplementary materials, and bibliographic records, remain accessible and identifiable over the long term.

LOCKSS and CLOCKSS

Where technically and institutionally available, International Journal of Innovation in Teaching and Learning Technology supports digital preservation through recognized archival networks such as LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and/or CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe).

These systems provide distributed preservation of journal content and help ensure continued access to published materials in the event that the journal's primary website or publishing platform becomes unavailable.

The journal will update this section when formal participation in a specific preservation service has been established.

Institutional and Subject Repositories

Authors are encouraged to preserve and share their published articles through appropriate institutional repositories, subject repositories, and other recognized scholarly archives, in accordance with the journal's Open Access and Creative Commons licensing policies.

Because articles are published under an Open Access model, authors may deposit and share the published version of their articles while maintaining appropriate attribution and citation information.

DOI and Metadata Preservation

Each published article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through the journal's DOI registration agency.

The DOI and associated bibliographic metadata are intended to provide a persistent and reliable means of identifying and locating published articles.

The journal seeks to maintain accurate metadata, including:

• article title;

• author names;

• institutional affiliations;

• abstract;

• keywords;

• publication date;

• volume and issue information;

• page or article identifiers;

• DOI; and

• other relevant bibliographic information.

Preservation of the Scholarly Record

The journal does not intentionally remove published articles from the scholarly record. When an article requires a correction, expression of concern, or retraction, the original publication record is preserved where possible and clearly linked to the relevant editorial notice.

Retracted articles remain part of the scholarly record and are clearly marked as RETRACTED to ensure transparency and prevent readers from inadvertently treating the article as valid research.

Backup and Content Security

The journal maintains appropriate backup procedures for its digital publishing infrastructure to reduce the risk of permanent loss caused by technical failure, data corruption, unauthorized access, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Reasonable technical and administrative measures are implemented to protect journal content and publication metadata.
