Deskripsi Kemampuan Berpikir Desain Siswa Berdasarkan Level Kreativitas di SMAN 1 Purwokerto

Berpikir desain dapat membantu siswa berpikir out of the box dan mengembangkan kreativitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir desain siswa berdasarkan level kreativitas di kelas X Merdeka 8 SMA Negeri 1 Purwokerto. Subjek yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 36 siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil tes level kreativitas, siswa dikelompokkan ke dalam lima level yaitu sangat kreatif, kreatif, cukup kreatif, kurang kreatif dan tidak kreatif. Setiap level kreativitas dipilih dua siswa menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan level sangat kreatif dan kreatif mampu memenuhi kelima indikator berpikir desain yaitu emphatize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test. Siswa dengan level cukup kreatif mampu memenuhi 4 indikator yaitu emphatize, define, ideate dan prototype. Sedangkan siswa dengan level tidak kreatif hanya mampu memenuhi indikator emphatize, define, dan ideate.
